Atheism is the best decision.

Religious people always assume that atheists are people who lost their faith because some bad experience, that we didn't put any thought about becoming an atheists. But they are lying to themselves because any religious people are in fact the ones who haven't gave any thought in being religious. They either continue their parents religion for conformism, because they want to lie themselves, because they are afraid of death or because they want to feel special, loved or protected. Many atheist I know have become who they are because they have put a lot of thought in this topic. Because it's not easy to be an atheist specially in a religious environment. And contrary to popular belief we don't do it because we are angry with God, or rebellious, or want to sin, or we are afraid of God, or we think we are smarter than everyone else. We see what religion has to offer and  what it demands from us(what it ask of us to not question, to ignore, and to support), they question what they hear from religious people.

And I mean it when I say "they question it" because they seriously question it.
How many religious people do you know that have questioned their religion and considered other options without any third party or person trying to indoctrinate them? An I'm not talking about religious people thinking about leaving their religion. I'm talking about people actually seriously questioning their religion. How many theists do you know that have asked themselves, Mmm maybe Kali is real, mmm maybe Jews are God favorite people. Because most of the times you will hear them say: "Of course all those another Gods don't exists just hear how silly they sound", or "But deep down my religion makes me feel special therefor it has to be true" or (and my personal favorite) "I'm skeptic about my religion so let's look for scientific evidence, but not any evidence I'm talking about pseudoscientific religious evidence that claims back up's my religious beliefs that will satisfy my skepticism." 

We atheists don't do that we look for evidence to support our beliefs. We look for evidence to construct our beliefs. Our atheistic belief are constructed by the scientific theories and knowledge that we have proven to be real. We say I'm not buying any of this, these warnings of what will happen to me if I don't believe are bluff or this doesn't sound logical and I'm gonna satisfy my curiosity(instead of religious people when their answer for every scientific interrogation is "God did it" there you go that's the answer "God did it" now shut up, and if you still want to keep investigating you have to use what you find to back up the "God did" it statement). 

Becoming an atheist was one of the most important decision I've made for myself. To be more clear I'm gonna sort to quote Lincoln here: Becoming an atheist was the best decision that I've made to myself, by myself, for myself. I didn't asked anyone about it, or if they like it. Many atheists put time and thought into becoming atheists.
